Herbs for mastopathy: medicinal properties and tips for use

The main prerequisites for the development of mastopathy are liver and gastrointestinal diseases, hormonal disorders, and nervous strain. The optimal combination of essential herbs

stabilizes hormonal levels, reduces pain, normalizes liver function.

Action of herbs

Plant hormones are components that are part of plants. They are found in the following herbs:

  1. liquorice root;
  2. sage;
  3. soy;
  4. alfalfa;
  5. red clover;
  6. hop;
  7. red brush.

Phytoestrogens partially compensate for the lack of corresponding female hormones, optimize their composition, and restore the balance of hormones.

Admission Process

There are three main methods of using plants. This is a decoction, tincture and external use. Tincture - you need a 1 liter glass jar and fill it with grass. Next, you should fill it with vodka and leave for 3 weeks in a dark place. After this, it is taken in accordance with the doctor’s recommendation.

The dosage is calculated in drops or teaspoons. Take before meals. Decoction - the raw materials are crushed, poured into a metal container, then filled with water, brought to a boil and boiled for half an hour. Then the broth is infused for several minutes. Tea – 2 teaspoons of herbs are poured with boiling water.

The intake procedure is similar to drinking plain tea.

External use – rubbing or ointment. The ointment is made by mixing the raw materials with oil or fat, and applied to the appropriate areas of the skin, being careful not to get on the mucous membranes. The process of making a rub is similar to how an infusion is made, but pure alcohol is used. Apply externally using a tampon.

Mammologist's recommendations

It is impossible to completely guarantee that herbal tea will definitely help reduce the likelihood of developing mastopathy in any woman.

Mammologists advise that you undergo a preliminary examination and, based on its results, select the most optimal treatment methods.

Medicinal plants give the greatest effect at the first symptoms of the disease, and at other stages of development - only in combination with drug treatment. The advantage of herbal medicine in the early stages is the reduced likelihood of side effects.

Contraindications

If you have a disease that occurs during pregnancy, you should not abuse herbal remedies, due to the possible occurrence of negative consequences for the fetus. Basically, compresses are used.

It must be taken into account that sage reduces the natural process of milk reproduction. If you are prone to allergies, you should exercise an increased level of caution and monitor your body's reaction.

For diseases of the gastrointestinal tract, it is forbidden to take wormwood, due to its ability to cause an irritating effect.

Sagebrush

Taking herbs from the estrogen category (sage, licorice root, rhodiola, hops) in combination with contraceptive medications reduces the effectiveness of the latter.

Golden mustache is not recommended for liver and kidney problems.

Some types of plants often do not combine with others: radiola should not be mixed with hops, cocklebur, or clover.

If mastopathy occurs in parallel with mental disorders, you should not use radiogram and wormwood.

There are many contraindications and other restrictions that are very difficult to remember. If there are doubts about the advisability of a particular combination, then the best option would be to purchase ready-made preparations at a pharmacy.

Although natural herbal treatments may seem gentler, herbs can have powerful effects on the body.

Therefore, the most reasonable approach would be a preliminary consultation with a herbalist or mammologist.

If there is a possible negative reaction from the body - allergies, pressure changes, you should immediately stop taking them and seek medical help. Mastopathy will not give immediate effect; it will require an integrated approach and discipline. With timely detection of mastopathy, herbal medicine can solve most problems.

Herbs used

The tinctures, decoctions and compresses listed below cannot cure mastopathy, but they will help relieve symptoms and alleviate the woman’s general condition.

Burdock

This plant will relieve swelling and relieve discomfort in the chest area. The specificity is explained by the presence in the composition:

  1. fatty acids;
  2. essential oils;
  3. inulin;
  4. minerals and vitamins.

The leaves and roots are used to make medicinal compresses, decoctions, and prepare juice. Fresh plants are ground in a blender or meat grinder. The finished substance is squeezed through a clean and dry cloth. The juice is drunk before eating. To reduce the characteristic bitterness, add honey or sugar. Compresses will help relieve swelling and eliminate pain.

Correcting hormonal levels

Sage reduces the production of prolactin, which helps reduce the amount of estrogen. The result is a slowdown in the dynamics of tissue growth. Meadow lumbago contains sitosterol, which has a similar progestogenic effect.

Vitamin A contained in the plant creates obstacles to the further development of negative dynamics. A decoction is made from alfalfa, sage and meadow lumbago, which should be drunk shortly before bed to delay the likelihood of cancer cell growth.

Duration of treatment is from a week to a month.

Plants that support immunity

Echinacea promotes the release of cytokines, which has a beneficial effect on the process of reproduction of immunocompetent cells. The substances that ginseng contains stimulate the action of the endocrine glands and reduce the amount of cholesterol in the blood. A number of other plants have similar effects:

  1. aloe;
  2. Rhodiola rosea;
  3. rose hip.

Aloe Rhodiola rosea Rosehip

These herbs strengthen the immune system, help increase the amount of interferon, which in turn slows down negative processes in tissues, reduces the risk of repeated relapses, and prevents further complications. Add 25–30 drops of aloe, ginseng, and echinacea tincture to warm drinking water. Reception is carried out 2-3 times during the day. The course duration ranges from 1 to 8 weeks.

Plants with a calming effect

When consuming mint decoction, a characteristic irritation of the oral mucosa occurs, which leads to an increase in the amount of peptides and endorphins that reduce pain, as well as the permeability of blood vessels. Due to this, the drug produces a pronounced sedative effect. Valerian has proven itself well in the form of a decoction or tincture. The effect is due to the content of such components as:

  1. borneol ester;
  2. hotenin;
  3. isovaleric acid.

The dosage is determined individually, taking into account the dosage form. Essential oils, as well as vitamins B2, B1, K, C, which are present in lemon balm infusion, have a beneficial effect on the nervous system. Take 3-4 times a day, 40–50 ml 2–4 times after meals. Duration of therapy is 30 days.

Optimizing liver functions

Dandelion roots restore liver function and produce a choleretic effect. For the decoction you need to take 2 tbsp. l. roots and pour 1 glass of warm water over them.

The decoction should be placed in a water bath for half an hour, then strained and cooled. Dilute the resulting volume with boiled water to an amount of 200 ml. Take 50 ml orally 3-4 times a day. Course - 3 days.

Treatment can be repeated again after 1 year.

Herbs prohibited for use

Taking these plants is contraindicated for women if they have hypersensitivity. There are also other herbs that have a healing effect, but their use is contraindicated for women suffering from mastopathy.

Sainfoin is very suitable for protecting the walls of blood vessels, so it is recommended to be used as a prophylactic agent to prevent various forms of oncology. In women, the use of preparations based on sainfoin causes an increase in the amount of testosterone, which will contribute to the development of negative dynamics.

The use of wormwood for mastopathy is not recommended, since it excites the nervous system and provokes the development of nervous stress.

  Women with liver disease should avoid taking aloe, due to its ability to reduce bile secretion, which will cause negative consequences for the gastrointestinal tract.

Pharmacy drugs

The independent process of harvesting herbs has its own specifics and can lead to errors (failure to comply with storage and harvesting standards, incorrectly chosen time). Purchasing the required complex at the pharmacy eliminates such moments.

Mammologist's advice

It is impossible to claim that this or that herbal mixture will help every woman avoid mastopathy or stop the development of the disease.

 Mammologists warn that before choosing remedies, including herbs, for treatment, it is necessary to undergo an examination (history collection, ultrasound, mammography, etc.).

Therapy with plants alone will be effective at the first signs of the disease, at other stages of mastopathy - only in combination with medications.

Additional advantages of herbal medicine in the initial stages of mastopathy are a minimal likelihood of side effects and the possibility of long-term treatment.

Contraindications and prohibited herbs

The listed herbs are contraindicated in women with hypersensitivity. There are other plants that have beneficial properties, but they are contraindicated for females suffering from mastopathy.

Sainfoin strengthens the walls of blood vessels, so the plant is recommended to be used to prevent the development of cancer.

In girls, drinking a decoction or tea from this herb causes an increase in testosterone levels, which can only accelerate tissue proliferation. Wormwood is contraindicated for mastopathy caused by stress.

The solution from the plant strongly excites the nervous system, which is undesirable for a woman - it will cause depression or a hysterical state.

If you have liver problems, women should avoid drinks made from aloe. Long-term use of decoctions and infusions from the plant worsens the secretion of bile, which negatively affects the health of a girl suffering from mastopathy caused by diseases of the gastrointestinal tract.

Advice from a mammologist on the use of medicinal herbs in the treatment of mastopathy

To treat mastopathy, it is customary to use various methods, both in combination and separately.

Some women are indicated for surgical intervention, while others use only drug therapy and achieve amazing results.

And sometimes it is enough for women to use alternative medicine methods to stop the manifestation of the initial forms of mastopathy. In order to choose the right herbs for mastopathy, you need to contact a mammologist.

Meadow lumbago is one of the most common herbs for the treatment of female diseases

What herbs should be used for mastopathy, what does a mammologist recommend? Methods of using individual herbs and infusions

Mastopathy is the most common disease of the mammary glands. It manifests itself with various symptoms, but the most characteristic of them are: breast asymmetry, the presence of persistent pain, the appearance of discharge from the nipples of varying consistency and color, the appearance of nodules and cords (which manifest themselves as small compactions in the area of the gland, easily palpable).

In addition to traditional drug therapy, patients for whom surgery is not indicated, it is necessary to use various herbs.

Herbal teas or individual herbs will help normalize the general condition of the body, strengthen the immune system and help get rid of the signs of mastopathy.

Only a doctor can help you choose the necessary individual herbal preparations for the treatment of mastopathy after conducting the necessary examination. Self-prescription of medications, without contacting a specialist, is fraught with the development of cancer.

Ginseng is a natural immune stimulant

What are the properties of medicinal herbs?

To get rid of cysts and strands in mastopathy, you need to use special herbs. All herbs can be divided into groups, due to their properties and effect:

  • Plants and medicinal herbs that contain substitutes for female sex hormones. Such herbs are similar in their effect to sex hormones that are produced by the female reproductive system.
  • Medicinal herbs that, by their composition, can prevent the degeneration of tissue into malignant ones. Such herbs prevent the growth of cysts and nodules in mastopathy and allow you to get rid of existing ones.
  • Plants or medicinal herbs that contain a large number of components aimed at strengthening the immune system of the female body.
  • Since not only the cerebral cortex, but also the liver is responsible for the production of sex hormones, it is necessary to use herbs that help the liver function.
  • Medicinal preparations with a pronounced sedative effect.

Oregano contains a high concentration of phytoestrogens

Herbs are analogues of female sex hormones

There are several medicinal herbs that have a similar effect, and they can be used as a stand-alone remedy.

Meadow lumbago

The most famous medicinal herb, which in its composition correlates with female sex hormones, is meadow lumbago. Meadow lumbago contains substances that have the properties of the hormone progesterone. Meadow lumbago helps reduce the growth of glandular tissue in areas of the breast affected by mastopathy and prevents further formation of cysts.

You need to pour boiling water over the plant and leave the collection for about 3 hours. A glass of cooled decoction of meadow lumbago should be divided into 6 equal parts and the decoction should be drunk on the day of brewing.

Hemlock

The medicinal plant hemlock is poisonous, so it should be used with caution and in compliance with all safety standards. If you intend to collect the plant yourself, then the cut must be made according to the following rules:

  1. Avoid completely contacting the plant root with bare hands. To do this, you need to use thick rubberized gloves.
  2. After collection, it is necessary to pack the plant for drying in such a way as to prevent contact with bare human skin.
  3. And the drying itself is carried out using a specialized device.

Hemlock contains alkaloids that affect the production of female sex hormones. If there are a large number of cysts in fibrous mastopathy, it is necessary to use a tincture of hemlock flowers or root in limited quantities.

The method for preparing hemlock is simple: you need to pour 1 tablespoon of the plant’s flowers with 500 ml of vodka, infuse it in a dark place for at least two weeks.

Use hemlock tincture 5 drops daily on an empty stomach, increasing the dose by one drop each day, and when the dosage reaches thirty drops, you need to start the regimen all over again.

Hemlocks should not be collected with bare hands.

Oregano herb must be brewed in boiling water; for this, take 2 tablespoons of plant flowers and brew with a glass of boiling water. This decoction must be left to cool completely and used 3 times a day before meals (divide one glass of this decoction into three parts).

Like every medicinal plant, oregano has contraindications for use. Oregano decoction should not be used during pregnancy, as the content of phytoestrogens in the composition can provoke a miscarriage.

Sage

The medicinal herb sage helps not only with colds, but also with mastopathy. Treatment of cysts and other neoplasms in the breast, elimination of the proliferation of the fibrous component and relief of inflammation can be done using sage decoction.

The decoction is prepared simply: you need to pour a tablespoon of herb with a glass of boiling water and bring to a boil. Treatment of cysts and cords must be done with a cooled decoction, which must be taken three times a day on an empty stomach.

Contraindications to the use of sage are the same as for oregano: pregnancy and lactation.

Sage is used as a decoction

Herbs that can reduce the proliferation of pathological tissues

Treatment of nodules and cysts in various forms of mastopathy must be carried out under the supervision of a specialist. If a woman is not indicated for the use of specific hormonal therapy, then the mammologist may advise taking herbs that prevent the spread of pathological tissues.

Sabelnik

The medicinal plant cinquefoil contains a large number of antitumor components, vitamin C, and flavonoids. Doctors recommend using both plant stems and leaves, and even roots.

Medicinal cinquefoil tincture helps stop the growth of cysts in the gland tissues and improve tissue trophism.

In order to prepare a healing tincture, you need to take one third of a half-liter jar of crushed leaves (or other parts of the plant), pour 500 ml of alcohol into them and leave in a dark place for at least a month.

After the tincture has matured, it should be taken one tablespoon three times a day, after meals. The course of treatment lasts three weeks.

The flowers, stems and even roots are useful in cinquefoil

Burdock

Collecting burdock helps prevent mastopathy from changing the tissue of the affected breast into malignant ones. Due to the high content of stigmasterol and sitosterol, early harvest of burdock not only prevents tissue malignancy, but also helps relieve inflammation.

A tincture of burdock leaves is prepared together with honey and alcohol. The ratio is calculated using the formula: 5 tablespoons of honey, 5 tablespoons of fresh leaves and one tablespoon of alcohol. Mix everything thoroughly and take a teaspoon daily. The course of taking such a drug should not exceed five days.

Swamp calamus

Swamp calamus infused with vodka

Herbs to boost immunity

When treating mastopathy, it is very important to activate all the body’s defense systems to help it cope with the pathology from the inside. To do this, the doctor may prescribe immunomodulatory herbs.

Ginseng

The use of ginseng in various fields of medicine has been known for a long time. But in the treatment of mastopathy, ginseng is used to maintain and stimulate the immune system. Ginseng root contains large amounts of vitamin C and E. That is why it is used for mastopathy as a powerful antioxidant agent that can additionally relieve inflammation and swelling.

The preparation of the tincture takes a long time; you will need a liter of vodka and 30 grams of ginseng root. This mixture is infused in a cold, dark place for a month. Then take the tincture 20 drops daily before meals.

There are contraindications for taking this tincture: pregnancy, problems with the central nervous system, and relapse of chronic diseases.

Echinacea

Another remedy that is used to support the immune system in case of mastopathy is echinacea. This medicinal herb must be used in the form of a tincture, which you can prepare yourself or purchase at the pharmacy. The tincture normalizes the processes of absorption of nutrients in the tissues of the mammary gland and improves the outflow of fluid.

Echinacea tincture is taken on an empty stomach or before meals. It is necessary to drink twenty drops of tincture three times a day for two weeks.

You can prepare a medicinal tincture of echinacea by collecting the flowers yourself.

Herbs that will help normalize liver function

The human liver is capable of neutralizing the most terrible poisons, and it is also where the processes of breakdown of sex hormones take place. If liver function is impaired, then hormonal imbalance occurs in the body.

That is why the treatment of all gynecological problems and pathologies of the mammary glands must begin with improving liver function. To normalize liver function, you can take specialized fermented preparations, or you can replace them with medicinal herbs.

The most commonly used herbs to normalize liver function:

  • Immortelle. Normalizes the trophism of breast tissue and normalizes metabolic processes in the liver.
  • Milk thistle. Silymarin in milk thistle normalizes liver function, and vitamin C helps boost immunity and relieve swelling.

Sedative herbs

Any sedative herbs that are suitable for normalizing the functioning of the central nervous system can also be used in the treatment of mastopathy. Since stress helps all estrogen-dependent diseases develop, the use of sedative herbs has a healing effect. Such herbs include: valerian, motherwort, mint and lemon balm.

Mammologist's advice

Most women, when they feel discomfort in their body, do not seek help from specialists.

When diagnosed with mastopathy, many try to get rid of the diagnosis on their own by taking various herbal remedies.

But most medicinal plants are not useful for mastopathy, as they contribute to increased production of estrogen and an increase in pathological tissue in the breast.

And such self-medication with the wrong drugs can lead to breast cancer. That is why the main advice of a mammologist in the treatment of mastopathy is to undergo a timely examination and prescribe proper treatment.

Herbs for mastopathy - when you can get by with herbal medicine

According to medical statistics, about 70-80% of women in the age range from 25 to 50 years have encountered mastopathy. Mastopathy is a deviation in the normal functioning of the mammary glands of the breast, which is caused by hormonal imbalance in the body. Externally, this is expressed in the form of different sizes of compactions - the formation of nodules.

There are two types of mastopathy - nodular, when one large nodule is detected, and diffuse, where many small lumps are felt near the glands.

Types of the disease are divided into subtypes, and if the disease is advanced or in a state of moderate severity, individual treatment, mainly medicinal, is prescribed. However, at the initial stage, when the size of the tumors is small, doctors recommend using herbal medicine.

How to take herbs

There are three ways to use plants for mastopathy: tincture, brewing as tea or as an external remedy.

Tincture - you need to take a liter jar and fill a third with herbs, then pour half a liter of vodka over the raw material and leave in a dark place for at least three weeks. When the product is ready, it is taken as prescribed by the doctor, usually one teaspoon or tablespoon three times a day before meals. Sometimes the dose is calculated in drops - 20 or 30 drops according to the same scheme.

Decoction - the base is crushed and placed in an enamel container, poured with cold water in the ratio of a tablespoon of crushed herbs per glass of water (200 g.

), let it boil and simmer over low heat for 20 minutes or half an hour. After this period, remove the decoction and leave for 15 minutes.

For long-term treatment, if it is not a cosmetic procedure, decoctions are not made in small portions, and therefore it makes sense to boil 4-5 tablespoons of the raw material in a liter of water at once.

Tea - a couple of teaspoons of crushed raw materials are poured with boiling water. Like regular tea, let it brew for a few minutes and drink.

External use – ointment or rubbing. In the first case, the grass is finely crushed and mixed in a 1 to 1 ratio with lard, animal fat or ghee, applied to the skin, avoiding contact with the mucous membranes. In the second case, an infusion is used, but instead of vodka, the raw material is filled with alcohol, and it is also used externally, wiping the problem area with a swab.
